The room was clean; however, the shower had mold and mildew throughout. The tiles were cracked, and the grout between them was moldy; instead of replacing the tile, they used grout. When you walked into the room, the entire room smelled musky. I was told Upper Management is aware of the mold issue, but they aren't doing anything about it. The shower is in the middle of the room next to two full-size beds, so there is no privacy if you are sharing the room. You can see the full naked body of the person taking a shower. Ramada charges a similar daily rate to Jewel’s, so my preference would be Jewel’s. The only difference is that Ramada offers free breakfast, which isn't a big savings. Finally, if you are there on a Sunday, you have no access to the pool, since Ramada rents out the pool area to locals. So if I'm paying $330.00 plus a night, Ramada doesn't care about its visitors; it's all about the extra cash from renting the pool area to locals. I had zero access to the pool, chairs, and bar area. I have no issue with locals being there, but I'm paying $330.00 a day for what? I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

Beautiful place

The house we were supposed to stay in got cancelled after we landed in Guyana, and the owner let us stay here on short notice and basically saved our vacation! The house is in a convenient location between Cheddi Jagan and Georgetown. The beds are comfortable, AC gets really cold, ceiling fan in the sitting room and stand fan in the bedroom.
